Tracing Female Ancestors
Friday, May 7, 2021 10am-11:20am
For many genealogists, tracing female ancestors can present some unique challenges.  Prior to the 20th century, identities of most women were by law and custom interwoven with that of their husbands, fathers, or male siblings.  Females, regardless of their ethnic backgrounds faced a wide variety of political, social, and religious restrictions which complicates the research process.  This seminar will discuss strategies to overcome these challenges
