NEW:  MGS MEMBER FORUM

We have added a new feature to our website. The feature is a member forum. The full use of the forum is restricted to members only (you gain access by logging-on as a member), however nonmembers can view the content of the forum topics.  The principal forum objective is to help members enhance their genealogical knowledge through member shared knowledge, and to promote discussions on topical subjects within the membership. This is accomplished by asking questions, starting a discussion thread on a particular topic, discuss a resource that was very meaningful to you, provide help by answering a posted question, etc. Members are encouraged to participate and share their knowledge with our MGS membership. Participation is key to a successful forum.

Before you use the Forum which can be accessed from our main menu column on the left at Member Forum, it is suggested that you read: How to Use the Forum (click the link). This will provide you some basic "Forum" knowledge. We have selected a number of general topics for organizing potential subject matter and discussion threads. Try it out.

Regional Genealogical Activities

We encourage you to use our Regional Society Links page and open the organization's website and check-out events that fit your research needs. Also, local societies sponsor special events like seminars and workshops, for example. Explore the Society Links page and check out our Regional Events page.
