At the end of a winding, unpaved country road is a small burying ground, known as Antioch Cemetery. It is located about one quarter of a mile south of the Hillsborough-Manatee County line, near the banks of the Little Manatee River. This little cemetery is completely surrounded by land belonging to Florida Power and Light Company. The cemetery is neat and well kept; the ground is raked clean, and the sand is white as sugar, Antioch is primarily a Roger's Family Cemetery. It is quite old, being used as early as 1888. Other families of that area use the cemetery also. There are a number of unmarked graves, mostly those of children. (Summary prepared about 1980)
